What is a thriller?
A thriller is a genre that uses suspense, tension and excitement as the main elements. A common sub genre is a physiological thrillers, it plants an enigma. A thriller heavily stimulates the viewer's mood such as a high level of anticipation.
The opening scene of Inception.
there is a grey background and feeling to the opening scene, sounds of waves and a mid-shot create a scene of the beach, it then cuts to a close up of a man (believing to be the main character), there is a bit of blurriness creating an enigma, allow the audience to think if this is a dream or reality. It then cuts to a long shot of two children playing with sand castles, but this is viewed in slow motion, projecting a dream . There is then an extreme close up of a gun poking into he man on the sea shore's back; raising the audience heartbeat with tension.

Samuel,there is a good level of care in your presentation. There is excellent work on your storyboard presenting different shot types and showing how it portrays the features of the thriller genre.
